Visiting Lecturer

The Signal Processing Group within the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid offers a position of Visiting Lecturer (conditions similar to those of a Profesor Ayudante Doctor) to teach lectures in English and/or Spanish in the Signal Theory and Communications Department, starting from September 1, 2017. Candidates must hold a PhD and have research experience in one or several of the following areas:

  • Signal Processing
  • Machine Learning
  • Information Theory

Two post-doctoral positions to carry out research in sequential Monte Carlo methodologies for tracking of high dimensional dynamical systems

The Signal Processing Group invites applications for one to cover one post-doctoral position to carry out research in sequential Monte Carlo methodologies for tracking of high dimensional dynamical systems. This includes both theoretical research and applied work related the tracking of space debris and the forecasting of extreme meteorological phenomena.
The grant supporting this position is funded by the Office of Naval Research (ONR) Global.

Two predoctoral studentships (Ph.D. positions)

Potential candidates should hold a B. Sc. or M. Sc. degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Physics or a closely related field. The Signal Processing Group offers 2 six-months part-time paid position to engineering master students related to the AID Project and ADVENTURE Project for developing applications in the fields of machine learning, wearable devices, and human behaviour characterization.
