Join us for an invited talk with Roy Timo (Technische Universität München):
- Title: «Communications for Tracking and Control».
- Event Date: Tuesday, December, 15, 2015; 12:00
- Location: 4.0.E06 Room; Torres Quevedo Building; Leganés Campus; Universidad Carlos III de Madrid.
Abstract:
We will give an introduction to the problem of tracking an unstable linear system over a discrete memoryless channel. We will then show how to use new results in finite blocklength information theory to obtain computable bounds on the tracking error (mean squared error and mean absolute error).
About the speaker:
Roy Timo is an Alexander von Humboldt research fellow with the Institute for Communications Engineering at the Technische Unversität München (TUM). Prior to joining TUM, he was a research fellow with the Institute for Telecommunications Research at the University of South Australia and a visiting postdoctoral researcher with the Communications and Electronics Department at Telecom ParisTech. Dr. Timo received the Bachelor of Engineering (Hons.) and Ph.D. degrees from the Australian National University (ANU).
